There is something thrilling about facing the odds of failure. How much fun would it be if I sat in a class where every student was guaranteed the same grade as myself? To know in any evident that people are fighting to beat the odds of not successfully negotiating whatever obstacle is what propels all human action. Capitalism was born on this idea. I do not advocate such a thing with regards to the human condition, however, when applied to matters of a student receiving a 3.9 and one getting the 4.0 that is light hearted competition. There is something to be said about the spirit of competition in relation to human nature.

Life On Repeat
Everything I do in this life seems to be repetitious. I wake up and go through the same motions that are nearly identical to yesterday, however, with slight differences occasionally. It seems difficult to see the chance in every day life to be adventurous. Soren Kierkegaard once said "To dare is to lose one's footing momentarily. Not to dare is to lose oneself. " I have never heard a more applicable philosophy for life. Existentialism really is a humanism. If we are all bound to go out then what the hell are we all doing being afraid to dare for something different? Change is on the horizon!
